Social Enterprise Exchange
If you are a Social Enterprise in Birmingham -or nearby, you should be at this great new free monthly event happening on Thursday 18th February between 10am and 11.30 am

We are proud to sponsor the first Social Enterprise Exchange arranged by Social Enterprise Mentor, Mark Ellerby to be held at The Urban Coffee Company in Central Birmingham on Thursday 18th February between 10am and 11.30am.

The event is described as the networking coffee break, without the conference!

Social Enterprise Mentor is a new website that will bring you the interviews and stories from social entrepreneurs, enterprises and supporters - all in the name of developing successful collaborations!

Backing this up will be an informal monthly networking event: SEM Exchange. This will provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs and supporters of Social Enterprise to meet and share ideas, build relationships and maybe even do some business together! SEM Exchange is the coffee break without the conference - don't all the best ideas come during the coffee break!

What's in it for you?

If you are in the business of Social Enterprise then you can meet like-minded people, build relationships and engage with support agencies and potential funders. For supporters of Social Enterprise there is an opportunity to get straight to the people you are trying support.

.....oh, and grab a great cup of coffee in a relaxed environment.

What do you need to do next?

Well the best place to start is to visit the site Social Enterprise Mentor or just come along to our first SEM Exchange event. Pop it in your diary now...not a major commitment, just a coffee break or maybe a chance for an early lunch!

I hope you can join me at the first SEM Exchange:

Thursday 18th February 2010
10.00-11.30am
Urban Coffee Company, 23 Church Road, Birmingham (oppossite Hotel Du Vin)

You can register your attendance via the website: Social Enterprise Mentor or at our Facebook Fan page or just send us an e-mail back!

It would be great to see you there!

Regards

Mark Ellerby

PS: I'd would like to acknowledge the following organisations for their help in getting the first event set up:

Case Study

Mark joined our one day Anger Management course in September 2009.

Initially he was skeptical, how could a one day course change anything as he and his partner Julie were at the point of breaking up.
