If your anger is like a herd of elephants, or you know someone who is like it...read on.
I remember as a kid being told the story of the elephant and the mouse. the moral of the
story was that one of our largest mammals was scared by one of the smallest, the mouse.
But is it true and how does it relate to anger management. I was most disappointed to find that
it is not really true. Boo. I want it to be true because it would make a good story. According to
Richard O'Grady, Director-Secretary of Glasgow Zoopark it is more about the fact that elephants are
frightened by sudden unexpected movements (Post at AskYahoo.com). Now that's like a few people
I know and that I have worked with over the years. In humans I think it's about the automatic feeling
of a perceived threat within your surroundings. The way to get around this is to anticipate if there
are going to be any 'mice' around and adjust your planning likewise. What 'mice' are lurking around in your
life?
