Following seven years of planning, the opening ceremony will be held in London this Friday for all the world to see. Though most of the concerns around the event can be controlled – though this is a very sore subject in some quarters – the one thing that none of us can do anything about is the weather.
Thankfully at the moment Mother Nature is being kind to us all, with lovely hot sunshine, crystal clear skies and temperatures at 26?c and predicted to reach 32?c in London. Then again, after two months of near-continuous rain we are due for some brightness.
A good thing seems to be coming out of the Olympics at the moment. Though the games have cost a phenomenal amount of money (if anybody has worked out the actual cost they have special powers), they do seem to be cheering-up a large number of people and the weather (glad to say this is completely free) is adding to this good vibe.
What more is there to say other than: for all of us watching to enjoy, for all our Team GB competitors we wish them good luck (and lots of Gold medals), and for Mother Nature, all we ask is for her to keep up with the good weather.
Mark joined our one day Anger Management course in September 2009.
Initially he was skeptical, how could a one day course change anything as he and his partner Julie were at the point of breaking up.
